What does a language do?
It invades your brain once you are able to stand
You pick it up where they started
Then year by year, you learn how conversations end.
You open your mouth and make noises
It's such a funny feeling that they understand you
But before your lips move, you made choices.
It helps you to pass through social gates
Where you reach out and form a comfort bubble
With your family, friends and perfect mates
So you won't feel lonely and get in trouble.

This was in-class poem after we read "How Poems Arrive". I just want to share this to everyone. Have a good weekend.
