An old story

The poem An Old Story first stanza started off so powerful. We were made to understand it would be terrible. Every small want , every niggling urge,.every hate swollen to a kind of epic wind. I believe the poem is talking about life and how it was formed .she said The animals long beloved gone crept down from trees. We took new stock of one another . I also wonder if therewas some kind of war or something going on . I also think in ghee poem she trying to change some one perspective on something because she said we made to understand it would be terrible
