Welcome to the blog for Prof. John Talbird's English 102 class. The purpose of this site is two-fold: 1) to continue the conversations we start in class (or to start conversations before we get to class) and 2) to practice our writing, reading, and thinking on a weekly basis in an informal setting.
The purpose of this scene is to provide the readers with some sense of hope that everything will return to normal. They get engaged which foreshadows that everything will go well and that there is still a hope for a “normal” life.
the writer try to prepare to the reader for what is coming at the end, the recover of the sight from blind people, but i think it is weak, because i can understand people still hope, but the way they recover their sight was unbelievable, just a miracle, just like that.
